My work arises from silence. I photograph intuitively, without a predetermined plan. The moment of capture actually happens by itself; later I return to the images to discover what wants to become visible. Sometimes an image remains intact, sometimes the final composition is created through a crop or enlargement. In my work, I explore the beauty of the everyday, of imperfection, and even of decay. By detaching details from their original context, abstract images emerge that are more reminiscent of painting than photography. My work invites deceleration and stillness. It refers to the underlying silence from which everything originates – a space in which imperfection and perfection coincide. Printed on aluminum/dibond, the works acquire a physical presence that feels both powerful and serene.

Mystery begins where knowing comes to rest.
